Origins of Framestead

2017

March 2017: Framestead Enterprises, LP was founded by Michael Wimberly and Jed Rohmann based in Kingwood, TX. August, 2017: Hurricane Harvey strikes Houston, TX. Framestead jumps into action assisting with boat rescues and home muck outs with our many family, friends and neighbors. Framestead would ultimately mitigate, restore and custom design/remodel some 35 flooded Kingwood homes.

2018

May 2018: Michael Wimberly along with business partner Jay Chappel launched Truwin Enterprises, LLC. Truwin offers quality exterior windows, doors, and siding installed by an experienced custom home builder. 2018: Michael Wimberly purchases the Jed's portion of the company, Jed remains Senior Project Manager.

2019

January 2019: Kingwood Barrington Manor House selects Framestead from 10 other contractors to repair and restore their prestigious community center. May 2019: Heavy rains pour though Kingwood, TX. Framestead went back to work assisting multiple local residents in the Elm Grove subdivision with dry outs, mitigations, insurance claims and restoration services.

2021

February 2021: The Great Texas Freeze impacts over 50,000 Greater Houston homes and residences. Framestead is called upon, through our many references and referrals across the city of Houston, to assist with and provide restoration, insurance and remodeling services.

2023

April 2023: United City & Holy Comforter Lutheran Church Remodels July 2023: The Nathaniel Center awards Framestead with a full interior and exterior commercial building remodeling contract.

Our Team

Michael Wimberly

President

Michael S. Wimberly has over 21 years of operational and management experience, including 17 years in the custom home and remodeling industries. He knows how to blend quality and value into every project, regardless of size. His experience has provided him with extensive knowledge of small business and the implementation of cost controls and processes that truly benefit his customers. Michael attended Texas A&M University with a B.S. degree in Construction Science (COSC).

Jared Rohmann

Project Manager

Jared Rohmann has over 21 years of carpentry and millwork experience, including 13 years in the custom home and remodeling industries. His craftsmanship skills and background allow him to own every detail of the project, giving the customer unsurpassed quality in their homes.

Michael Labbe

General Manager

Mike has over 19 years of project management experience and over 8 years of experience as a business owner. He excels at business strategy and translating objectives into actionable plans. Mike is also a collaborative communicator who believes in strong client relationships. He received his Masters of Business Administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business.

Kenneth R. Hineman

Project manager

Kenneth has worked in the construction industry for over 10 years. From running carpentry crews to project management, he is passionate about building high-quality homes. Daily, he thoroughly manages projects efficiently, and one common goal: Stun the homeowner with details, inside and out.

Rickie Lindemann

Bid Developer

Rickie is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. With a BFA in Interior Design, he is a creative at heart who loves using his skills to help others create the best spaces suited for the individual. When away from the office, Rickie enjoys painting, drawing, sculpting, and hiking out to trails.

Emma Wilson

Digital Marketing Manager

Emma is the newest member of our team—a recent graduate from Lee University with a B.S. in Marketing. She has a passion for marketing and a love for home design. Emma is a creative person who loves to capture and showcase all of our beautiful projects.

Kristy Franks

Designer and Selections Manager

Kristy is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Home Furnishing Merchandising, with a minor in Business. She has 19 years of experience in the home design industry. Kristy started her career as an accessory and furniture designer and showroom merchandiser before she transitioned into outdoor living and interior design. She has a talent for turning visions into stunning realities and is one of the creative geniuses behind our custom home designs.

Missy Gremillion

Accounting Manager

Missy has been with the Framestead group since the very beginning. She has over 7 years of experience working in small business accounting. Missy and her family moved into their own Framestead Custom Home in 2019. She keeps the office running smoothly, making the team better available for our clients.

Jay Chappell

Truwin President

Jay has been in the customer service and project management industries for the past twenty-two years and has seven years of experience in the construction industry. His extensive knowledge of taking great care of his clients and his ability to plan extensively from start to finish provide the best experience for Truwin customers.

Tom Harrigan

Truwin's Senior Consultant

Tom has 18 years of experience in the window, door, and siding industry. With his in-depth understanding of various manufacturers' products, he can select the best fit for each client's project. His operations and installation management background enables him to offer Truwin clients a transparent and informative sales experience.
